What began as a verbal confrontation between former teammates reportedly escalated into a physical altercation Friday morning in Las Vegas.
According to ESPN, Miami Heat star Bam Adebayo and newly acquired Milwaukee Bucks guard Tyler Herro were involved in an incident at a practice court inside a Las Vegas hotel, where Adebayo allegedly struck Herro. The confrontation reportedly stemmed from comments Herro made on social media criticizing Adebayo following the end of their seven-year partnership in Miami.
The incident occurred just hours before the Heat and Bucks were scheduled to play in NBA Summer League action.
Following the report, both organizations declined to provide details. The Heat issued a brief statement saying they were “aware and not commenting,” while the Bucks also declined comment. When approached by reporters in Las Vegas, Herro responded, “My only comment is no comment.”
Adebayo and Herro spent seven seasons together in Miami, helping lead the franchise to multiple deep playoff runs before Herro was dealt to Milwaukee in the blockbuster trade that reshaped the Eastern Conference this offseason.
It remains unclear whether the NBA will review the incident or whether any disciplinary action will follow.
